Amazfit T-Rex 2

A rugged and robust fitness watch

Great battery life ; Sharp, bright and colourful screen ; Robust design ; Good value

Few smart features ; Potentially divisive design

Amazfit T-Rex 2 review

A great outdoors watch with some accuracy issues

Incredibly tough ; Long battery life ; Plenty of sports modes

Zepp app not as good as its competitors ; Bulky on the wrist ; Accuracy issues

The Amazfit T-Rex 2 is a powerful, chunky beast which looks and feels impressively rugged. It’s a great outdoors watch, but a few small accuracy issues and some less intuitive on-the-fly controls prevent it from being a budget Garmin-killer.

Is the Amazfit T-Rex 2 the cheap Garmin Fenix alternative we've been waiting for?

The Amazfit T-Rex 2 offers a lot of functionality for an incredibly low price, but is it enough to topple the Garmin Fenix?

GPS accuracy is excellent ; Long battery life ; Pretty AMOLED display ; Plenty of new and improved features

Feels like it's bulky for the sake of it ; Heart rate accuracy is so-so ; Zepp app has its issues ; Solar charging would be nice

The Amazfit T-Rex 2 is a significant improvement over the T-Rex Pro: it has a larger display, longer battery life and better GPS chip. Sensor accuracy could be better, and the watch feels bulky for its sake, but if you're on a tight budget, the T-Rex 2...

Amazfit T-Rex 2 review: Rough and ready

The Amazfit T-Rex 2 is an affordable outdoor smartwatch that goes big on features and battery life. But can it also compete with the category's big

Added navigation and route import features ; Good GPS performance ; Well over a week of battery life

Design not that different from previous T-Rex ; No support for external sensors ; PAI Health scores not massively useful

The Amazfit T-Rex 2 is an affordable outdoor smartwatch, which offers well-executed features like breadcrumb navigation and route uploading all wrapped up in a rugged design that costs less than the big-name competition.

Amazfit T-Rex 2 review: fighting fit

Mil-spec toughness and fantastic battery life at an affordable price. Can the Amazfit T-Rex 2 take the fight to the class leaders?

Rugged build ; Detailed sport and fitness tracking ; Excellent battery life

No music playback support ; Very little third-party app support ; Limited notification replies

A capable and comprehensive fitness tracker that can survive more than a bit of rough and tumble. It lacks features for true standalone use, but otherwise doesn’t disappoint for the price

Amazfit T-Rex 2 review: a rugged adventure watch, at an excellent price

A review of the Amazfit TRex 2 - a rugged adventure watch made by Amazfit. How does the budget watch compare to some of the best Garmin watches?

The bright display and the excellent battery life make the Amazfit T-Rex 2 a decent choice for weekend adventurers on a budget — just be prepared for the inevitable dinosaur gags.

Amazfit T-Rex 2 Review: a fitness smartwatch that will likely outsurvive you

With two previous iterations of the T-Rex watch under its belt, Amazfit kept what worked and improved what didn't. The T-Rex 2 does a lot of boasting in design and features, but is it worth the price Amazfit is back with another T-Rex watch, and it...

Very durable ; The display can get very bright ; Lots of sports modes ; A fantastic suite of health features ; Improved notifications

Chunky ; Workout controls could be more intuitive ; The always-on display is too dim in bright lights

While this is a very tough wearable both in design and physicality, it has so much more going for it than those things. It's loaded with sport and health tracking features, along with excellent battery life. Can this device, which resides between...
